>>2138101Picrel is more spots on the leaves I pulled off (just in case it was disease). I left them at the edge of the plant area to attract the caterpillars for a day or two and it seemed to work until this afternoon when they were gone.
>AphidsThat's one other thing I was actually concerned about considering the spots. I don't think it's aphids though because my basil sits right beside the spearmint and my columbines sit one further from the basil, and neither of those are suffering any signs of pestilence or disease. I have a catnip start that needs to be moved though, as the feral shits keep visiting my back patio and I just know they're gonna kill it soon (if this goddamn Kansas June sun doesn't wilt it to death first).
I'm thankful that my habanero and jalapeno have remained untouched so far, but I fear if I don't banish these caterpillars soon that my whole patio garden will be feeling it.
On an unrelated note, I've been thinking about growing honeysuckle on my fence and was wondering if it can grow from a cutting? Are there any downsides aside from it being a tenacious clinger and getting fucking everywhere if you don't keep it in check? The shit grows all over town and I can easily just snip a good-sized cutting from a neighbor's plant.
