>>2321066Not him but it really depends on how far you want to go down in terms of quality. You could get russian gen 1 for a pack of peanuts but it will be horrid to do anything with especially hiking. A high spec blemmed gen 2 or a lower spec blemmed gen 3 pvs14 (Just under 2k to upwards of 4k for the amazing units) will honestly be the lowest you wanna go. Just please avoid the companies AGM and ATN unless you wanna go ultra shitty. You could also buy a pvs-7 (1-2k) but the depth perception is bad (and yes i understand that they are both monos but with the 14s you can have your other open and have it adjust to the darkness) while also being heavier with shittier mounting options. Dont even consider the sionyx aurora or any digital nightvision since its gutter tier for moving around with and it doesnt have the beauty of real nods. Dont forget that you need to get a helmet plus the mounts to attach the nods to it. Ur gonna pay a good chunk of change in total but its worth it in my opinion and its a millions better irl than the pics.
Facebook has nightvision selling groups and despite what you think its actually a decent place to get cheap used nods from, just make sure you buy from trusted guy and you know what ur buying. My friend got a gen 3 pvs 7 from there for a little over 1k.
Make sure you do your research as there is a lot to this shit especially on gen2/3 and different specs if you wanna know for sure what youre getting because each unit is different.

Hope this helped you out
