Went out and looked at some of my local public land. The 4000 acres is heavily wooded, dense brush, water sources are all close to the road and subject to hunting pressure.
Lots of whitetail activity, but no tracks or scrapes suggesting anything large. Any of you guys hunt public?
What do you look for topographically?
