Useless holes in the blade are there just to collect dirt, same thing with decorations in the pliers. Size and placement of holes in the frame are clearly not designed for strenght and light weight. The "Alien line" of LM products is for people looking foor cool looking toys. They were never designed to be used as tools.
Leatherman makes many excellent tools, like Rebar, not very good tool for camping though.
