>>1817580>>1817639>>1818996>basedold toyotas are very tough to kill. I used to have an FJ Cruiser 6mt that i fucking loved. Old Man Emu lift, aluminum front bumper, BFG At2s, some other odds and ends. It was great for camping but the back was too small to sleep in even with the seats folded down. If you're not like me, and dont sleep in your car sometimes they are pretty good, and with the new bronco coming out the prices are probably gonna go way down soon.
I had a third gen 4runner, also fantastic, great to sleep in and a fantastic all around car. Cheap enough to offroad, nice enough to take a girl out in, reliable enough for long roadtrips, and very capable.
Current DD is a 87 4runner with the 22re. It is super slow and girls dont like old 4runners as much as they do old broncos or K5 Blazers, but thats alright. The top coming off is neat, but nobody takes their top off as much as they expect to when they buy one. Fuel mileage is great, reliability is unmatched, durability is insane, offroad ability is pretty good, but not outstanding in stock form, on-road experience is pretty fucking bad though. Rough ride quality, noisy, slow, etc.
All in all, most toyota SUV's are good, just do some research and decide your budget and how many luxuries you want. Leftover budget money can go towards repears, mods, tires, and gear.
