>>1256487I'll start dumping my pics. Just got back yesterday from the Eagle Rock Loop trail (particularly the Vile Branch equestrian trail section) at Ouachita National Forest in southern Arkansas. It rained the day before, so everything was wet and could not start a campfire. I fucked up by only bringing one lighter that I thought had more fluid, and it didn't help that my wetstart kindling fell out of the bag at the house. It was my first overnight solo trip and I went almost seven miles out. Nothing came up to my tent but a small mammal possibly possum scratched around fifteen feet from me. I went there for a day hike last month and the plants were in bloom this time. I met a guy on the last quarter mile on the way back and he gave me some tips. I had to carry my tent bag which was fucking tiring and I learned some space-saving techniques. He recommended a smaller, down sleeping bag. I aim to do the whole 26 mile loop trail this fall. It's the hardest trail in Arkansas. Anyone been there? Would it be possible to get a meetup in this region?
