Insulation only matters if you're in the North.
It's difficult to insulate one properly. And you also have to worry about your internal plumbing/lines bursting.
Their furnaces aren't designed to run 24/7.
My current goal to update/winterize an old rv:
>gut and insulate properly
>tar roof
>remove plumbing(or least disable), add composting toilet & gravity shower
>add a wood stove
>remove gas stove/oven. add toaster oven, single burner/camp stove
>remove carpet, add cheap hardwood
>craft window blockers to cover windows during winter
