My poly tunnel plants are thinning themselves out due to disease. However, the plants that never got cold-zapped are doing well enough to set new flowers. The garlic are thriving, though they look like they need a bit more sunlight. There are lots of green tomatoes too.
Anyone know of semi-cold hardy (60F/15C or higher) vegetables that don't need to be pollinated? I'm trying to put together a list for this type of low-heating system. So far I have,
-Allium family plants like onion, garlic, chive, etc.
Lettuce
-Kale (kale takes freezing temps and frost without batting an eye)
-Chard
-Carrots
-Plantains (common and ribwort)
-Curly dock
-Broccoli
-Cabbage
-Radish
-Spinach
-Collards
-Turnips
-Brussels Sprouts
