I agree with everyone saying you need heavy line to winch in fish from cover, but what Im referring to is bass fishermen with a 10-12lb mono or flouro leader complaining that pike break them off while ive never had a problem with that even with light lb test. Its even a meme i see online repeated ad nauseam somehow relating to a hammer handle pike causing someone to lose their 15 dollar jerkbait.

>>1728752Try using 10 or 15 lb braid with a 8lb flouro leader. Braid is very thin compared to it's breaking point and has no memory so it casts tremendously well.
