I'm having dramas shooting a little compound at targets that worked perfect for big recurves at pic-related distance. I'll post the targets in a minute, thick layers of foam and carpet tiles with a wood pallet backing.
A 60# recurve will shoot a 100 grain field point through ~6 layers, but the compound tuned to 40# will put the same arrow through all 8 layers and halfway through the plank of wood behind it and I'm getting frustrated as hell, because I want to spend more time flinging sticks than having to unstick them
