They have absolutely decimated the walleye population on Lake Nipissing and the musky fishery is still one of the best. Brook trout lakes are getting it the worse of it now. Any lake within 30km of train tracks is nearly devoid of life. I've seen some natives catch 30 brook trout while ice fishing, then they go out the next day and catch 50 more.
