When sun now hits the leaves, they still want to transpire but can't, so leaves will be dropped
So you can either winter them cool but dark, or warm but bright, I'm doing the latter with mine, they're already inside since early October, now 16 months old, did the same last year without problems, they'll just continue growing at a slower pace. Insects might make trouble though, luckily not for me yet
