Hope this isn't derailing the thread but I didn't want to make a new one just to plan my own trip. I'm going to visit some online friends in NC soon and would appreciate recommendations on a good hike/camp spot to see along the way (meeting in Raleigh then going to the coast). I'm gonna be on a non-ADV bike though so no gravel roads pls. Might as well ask for WV recs for the return trip too while I'm at it. For WV I was hoping to do some more backpacking but NC would just be an overnight stay in the western half.
