I highly reccomend braid for this, it is thin strong, supple, and if you need it to be clear it's not hard to put on a leader. 20 pound should do you fine for fresh and salt water. bright colours are an option, but i'd reccomend the moss green. there are plenty of spooling tutorials on youtube, or if you're not feeling confident, most outfoor shops will do it for you if you buy the line (and ideally the reel, too) there
alright, so, we're almost ready. while the reel is being spooled (or shortly before or after) get a fishing license so you don't get arrested.
