>>1772515Just give them space to grow as they get bigger and you'll be fine. A foot or so in between plants is what I'm doing for my tomatoes, though more of a pattern where T is tomato and L is lettuce like pic. Lines are 1 foot long.
Figure out how big the plants will get or how much they'll spread and give them room to do so or it'll be really crowded. Maybe not a whole foot for flowers, but you get the point: do research before planning a layout that may not work.
