Apparently it grows all over the UK-
In Canada it grows in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and Vancouver.
In the States it grows in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
From what I found it originated from the Caucasus Mountains between the Black and Caspian seas by Russia.
