Its not spiritual, it's fucking ugly. You know what is spiritual? Appreciating nature and accepting it how it is presented to you. You dont need to leave your fucking mark everywhere. We go /out/ to get back to nature and nobody needs to be constantly reminded that there are few places in the world left untouched by the hands of man.
If I ever come across faggotry like pic related, you better believe i'll knock all of that shit over. Cairns are for summits, trail markers or possibly memorials only. It can also be a safety issue as a friend of mine almost got lost when he mistook some random faggot rock stack for a trail marker in the winter.
If you stack rocks, knock them the fuck over before you leave. Be like the tibetan buddhists and practice non attachment as they do after creating sand mandalas. Or even better, dont fucking build them at all.
