>>2375633I have never bought a QSP penguin, but I've heard they're decent for the price. It's a D2 blade with a liner lock, so not stainless and not easy for one hand closing. I've been told that the out of the box action isn't very good, but if you do a quick disassembly it'll improve, but for me the handle seems too small to be used daily unless you've got small hands.
If price is the most important factor don't go Chinese made, go Kershaw. They're usability is through the roof and they have options under $30 if lock type and blade steel don't matter to you. If you want the cheapest blade I can actually recommend, it's the $15 Kershaw Tension or the Opinel, anything else in that price range is a meme.
