An old throwaway field pipe I made out of pine, that refuses to die. The mallow stem cracked and I just put masking tape on it. I haven't bothered to make a new one for it, though some of the stuff growing now is just getting thick enough to consider harvesting for a stem.
Taking a break from whittling a piece of seasoned mesquite to make a spoon on the back porch for a mother's day present, it turned out OK, she seemed to like it, she has a thing for wooden spoons. also, I should probably get a crook knife, it would definitely make carving the spoon hollow easier than using V-cuts and scraping it out with the knife tip.
