Yeah, i'm on /diy/ a bit too.
Some fittings from the hardware store, fuel/utility jug, tygon tubing from McMaster, and a lawnmower gas cap... extended-run fuel tank.
With the gallon on-board, plus 6 in the jug, this will run the entire weekend without having to refill it. Set it up behind the trailer or up by the truck, hook everything up, and it'll run as long as I need it to without having to screw around with fuel.
As long as everything's sealed up except for the vent on the aux. jug, the vacuum from the generator's fuel pump will pull gasoline into the on-board tank.
