Snus shares a couple similarities with pipe smoking (being a user of both):

>affordable
>low risk
>baking a good prilla is almost as satisfying as packing the perfect bowl
>45 minutes to an hour of nice time
>esoteric enough that you can sperg out over its history and nuances for hours
