>>426894Wearing these shoes literally ruined my feet (and life). I thought the rigid high arches would provide good support for my feet, but instead, they gave me a case of permanent flatfoot. The pain in my feet went away after a few weeks stopped wearing them, but then my shins and knees started getting wrecked from being out of allignment- foot flattens, ankle rolls in, entire body gets fucked up.
I literally can no longer stand or walk unsupported. Got orthotics from the chiropractor and am using a knee brace, which significantly reduces pain, but this doesn't correct my foot dysfunction- just makes it more bearable.
I can pose my feet into the correct position still, and recently found out about pic related, hyprocure implant, which is a minimally invasive surgery that puts the stent into the sinus tarsi, which then stops the foot from pronating beyond the normal position. Will definitely have to see an actual podiatrist about this next year. Not many are up to date on this new procedure it seems, and its generally not covered by insurance.
Anyways, I hope this was relevant to thread, and and feedback would be cool.
I've looked into and tried the whole barefoot thing for a bit, but its too late now after the damage has been done already- can't fucking walk at all natually. If I ever do get my arches back I would immediately start using minimal shoes, and learn to walk outside barefoot or in vibrams.
