If I'm going for over a day this is basically it, give or take the axe and bow depending on the situation. The machete is damn solid and sharp with enough weight to be used as a hatchet if I go with just that. Wife might be carrying more water, clean pair of socks and underwear for each of us, dude wipes, her little telescoping fishing pole, sleeping bag (they can zip together when it's time to make whoopie) and maybe a little more food but we forage and fish quite often too
