There's options too, somewhere closer to the car or somewhere a long walk from it. Forest is a bit thin on the ground, in its good fun camp friendly form at least, but it is out there if you try. Too much forestry commission monotree row-forrests out there but decent stuff sometimes lies on the edges of 'em.
I generally prefer barren craggy dramatic shit though, and snowdonia has plenty of that.
So yeah.. If you want advice on particular snowdonia spots just ask, but for me finding the spot is half the fun.
