Also, someone recommend me a kayak net. Went out on the kayak about an hour later and lost another guy this size after I kept him stuck through 2 jumps and a long drag pull trying to boat flip him in. I did manage to lip and land an 8ish pound channel cat a bit after that but catfish have meaty mouths and get hooked more solidly than bass do.
