>>2126198In my country there is a "Real Stories" tv talk show dedicated to disappeared people, my parents have watched almost every single episode of it ever since I was little and recently they haven't missed a single one, the show hires private investigators and you can call them to help you find somebody for free, they will even go around town to interview people who might know something or who saw something, basically it's like they're trying to tell me "I will find you" or something.
My town is small and almost everybody knows each other except me because I'm antisocial, I only know some people by name but almost everybody knows my family because they lived here for decades, if they see me bike in front of their house they will remember it because "oh that's mrs marie's son... what's his name again? poor man" or something like that, you get the idea. There's no surveillance here because it's not necessary, residents of the town are the best surveillance system already.
I need to get out while they sleep in this 50 m^2 doll house without waking them up, then get to the next province, change clothes, change temporary hairstyle and find a good spot to wait for a barber shop to open up, all within an hour max after putting my ass on the bike, because I know they will call people they know to look for me. It took me months to plan this, I mustn't fail because the alternative is slavery for the rest of my life.
