Anybody that wants a kit like this but wants it cheap, Smith & Wesson sells the campfire kit that's similar to what I have for less than $40 . The video reviews were a bit cringey as all the reviewers I saw had dull or toothy knives. Mine will push cut.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJND9OaE6PcIt's not American made D2, it's Chinese 440, the grip is a tiny bit slicker with a cheapie nylon/plastic insert sheath. It's a cheap hunting set that'll do pretty much everything my KoA knives will do within reason, for less than half of what I paid for just one of my knives. They won't take the same level of abuse, the allen screws are rivets and will break if you baton them, so don't.
The biggest difference is in edge retention, but by the same token they'll also be easier to sharpen, and if you have a diamond hone and a strop it'll be easy to keep them as sharp as you need them and to touch them up in the field. Add a folding saw and you're pretty much set.
