My 940 has been beat to shit and and it still works fine, and the one that sealed the deal for me was when they rebuilt my 10-year-old 975 (pre-Emerson Super CQC-7, pic related) for free. I don't mean sharpened or repaired, I mean rebuilt. They took the knife and milled out the liners and scales to use different fasteners for more strength. That's some hardcore customer service.
I also had a great CS experience with Spyderco when they gave me a whole new knife at no charge, but the reason they did that was because an $80 wore out in a couple years of average use in the first place. I haven't seen anything from them I'd trust as much as BM's locking system.
