>>1554888It's not even that I think any of these outcomes are bad if they actually lead to deceleration, I just think this whole focus on China and India is retarded when coupled with the solutions that come with that focus. Most of the arguments I see lead to some kind of weird American/European nationalist mindset of "no matter how far we go back the others will continue" and keep pushing for some war with Asia while simultaneously destroying your own infrastructure. If you're doing a mass exit from capitalism and I would even include depopulation if you have that kind of power, the last thing you want to do is boost one of the largest industry sectors to carpet bomb Shanghai. Again, at that point you should just be launching nukes to make sure the job is done, for the West and East. This is retarded anyways because there's almost no way some eco-extremist vanguard is actually going to gain power, I'm going to bet on an economic collapse which will starve off most of the population anyways, and any actions taken against the economy will be much more effective in creating a sustainable ecology than complaining about Chinese factories
