>>2447468Bugging in should always be default option. You have right to be here, all your stuff is there, if there is no need I would stay until disaster passes. There are of course scenarios when evacuation makes more sense (or even is mandated)
>what would you get and stock up on to be able to stay put as long as possible?I wouldn't try to stay in city apartament as long as my supplies lasts. If order is not restored I would consider better places to live (e.g. family house in the countryside)
Even if you already live in such location supplies only serve as a cushion for the initial fall. You would need means to get and purify water (remember catched rain is still dirty water), fuel to cook and winter heating, means to defend yourself, means to heal yourself, a group or community to help eachother (lonewolfing is always stupid idea) and then you need means to replenish food. Roughly in that order. I've followed goverment agencies instructions for absolute basics I have at home (listed in my first post) so we can stay for a week or two without any help. I higly recommend "cycling" your food fupply. Eating what you store, just having more of it. Taking from the front of the row, putting groceries in the back of it
