Heading to Northern Victoria early next week to camp for a few days. Doing some work in the plains there. Haven't been there in spring but its meant to be grouse (pic related).
Planning a trip to Wilsons Prom sometime soon but I dunno if its getting too late - i'm taking some friends who aren't that experienced or have gear that good. Anyone with experience around there at this time of year think it would be alright coming into winter, or?

Would recommend around melb cup weekend going up and doing Mt. Howitt then back across the Cross Cut Saw and then working your way back to your car near Howitt Plain. (thats gonna be my cup weekend anyway. went out to Howitt earlier this year and the country up there is just so spectacular. The drive as you start ascending is like Grampians meets High Plains or some shit.)
