I found a way to carry my net. My fly rod case is attached beneath the backpack, a carabiner and stretchy cord fixed to the net is attached to my backpack strap, and the net hoop rests on the fly case. I am annoyed with the net bumping my legs when I walk. This method eliminates that and makes it easy to reach. This is a Frabill net, and the curved handle helps. Probably wouldn't work with a Simms net. By the way, you don't need to spend money on a net keeper with this method.
