Found some walking boots today that had been thrown out. Berghaus but not sure of the model. There seems to be nothing wrong with them except for ridges/dents along the top of the toes which kinda rubs as you walk and makes them uncomfortable which I imagine will be hell over long distances and is presumably why they were thrown out.
1) What causes that? Picking boots too big/too small?
2) How do fix them?
I've got some wet scrunched up newspaper stuffed in there to try and push them back out but I'm not even sure if they're leather or if it will work. If it fails to fix them is there anything else I can try?
No big loss if I can't because I've already got a nice pair of leathers that have served me well for over 10 years and still going strong but worth a try innit.
