>>1212417It depends on what model. Most of them are fine for normal light use. They are some of the best 420hc production knives, but non the less 420hc is showing it's age. For the money there are knives with more modern designs that will give you more utility.
But I do like but, maybe out of nostalgia. My great grandfather always had a 102 on his desk to open letters with, so did my grand father, and so does my uncle, and now his sons. My great grandfathers 102 is sort of a family heirloom for us. My first large fixed blade, as tacticool as it is, was a Buck/tops 650 night hawk. And I've wanted to get a 124 Frontiersman for a very long time, but $150 is kind of hard to justify for a 420hc knife.
