I made a casting bar on my boat with 2 hooks on it to hold a my rod and a stand up paddle. look for someone throwing away a jogging stroller and swoop it. its a easy DIY. when you get in range put the pole/paddle in its holder grab the rod and cast.
makes switching pretty easy... with a push pole you need to make 2 padded "V" on one side of the rail to hold it. padded to reduce and noise.
you can spread a blanket or small piece of tarp or make a stripping bucket to strip into basically to reduce any snags in the interior of the boat.
one of the key things I found is to pull out some line into the bucket so when you run up on a fish you dont have to waste time stripping out line to shoot. solo fly fishing is pretty easy to setup once you know what you need.
