I have made a few trips of similar length to a walk around the lake but without the gradient to deal with as a dry run, and in truth it's taken me a good bit longer than I'd have thought anyway- I'm taking a good 4 or 5 hours to cover little over 3 miles. Still it's been nice to get out on my own away from it all even if it is just a walk up the coast with a telescopic fishing rod in my bag.
