Not so much other campers at a campsite, or even out in the middle of nowhere, but fuckin' hunters, especially down south, can be a frightening find in the wilderness. I've had fuckers come on land I OWN in the mountains and claim that I was trespassing on their family hunting grounds at gunpoint.
That's a generalization of course, I've met hunters in the woods that were quite friendly as well, but the bad far outweigh the good in my experience. There's some that seem to act quite civilized everywhere else (according to people who know them at least) and then turn into deranged maniacs as soon as they enter tree-cover.
