>>1148481You need a hammock at least 4 feet longer than you are tall, at minimum. The 2 feet above your head and below your feet are where the hammock gathers together. It narrows to a point, and isn't really usable space.
A short hammock ends up giving you bad calf ridge, and prevents a proper diagonal lay.
Hammocks that are too wide, as stated before, just have extra material that gets in the way. It's really annoying to have it in your face all night.
Having 3 panels of fabric that have seams. You end up laying on these seams, which don't stretch the same as the fabric. It's just uncomfortable.
