>>2593765There are 4 models of the Exos. I think they originally came out in 2008, with subsequent models in 2014, 2019, and 2022. I have one from 2014, while the 2019 is missing shoulder strap pockets and hip belt pockets, and has less padding in the shoulders and hip belt (but is slightly lighter). 2014 was black with green accents, or light gray with blue (I think). 2019 is the year they had the green pack with green accents (or black with red).
I’ve always liked the Exos, as it hits that perfect middle ground between weight and comfort. It also uses a trapeze-style suspension, and I’m in a very hot environment. Everything else Osprey makes is kind of dumb. It’s all feature heavy, but I don’t need the features. The Exos is super simple.
But they fucked up majorly in the compression straps. Right pic is a Gregory Focal, with the straps behind the pocket like they’re supposed to be. Very similar pack to the Exos, btw. Close in weight, same type of suspension, almost the same features (newest Exos has an adjustable harness, I think).
