jigging with home made jigs tipped with wax worms ,no tip ups, drill until you find fish, then work your way around and slightly out in a grid fashion, keep bait in the water,
Not pictures is all of the " small " fish we threw back probably 2 times what is pictured,
we were only keeping large bluegills and the largest of crappie, perch we were keeping most everything but we rarely had short fish
also after picture was taken we caught 8 more keeper crappie, and 20-30 more keeper gills, just with the short walk back off the pond
in total we filled close to 3, 5 gallon buckets if not slightly more and all of this was in 5 hours
the gills went to a friend who hosts a 3-400 person game dinner each year, the perch went to someone who lets my friends i was fishing with turkey hunt his land and the crappie were split up evenly between the 3 of us fishing and eaten that night
