But sometimes you can get them nesting or just chilling and they will chase the spinners but never really hit it good. When that happens, sometimes I will run the spinners by them faster and it just triggers a reaction strike.
Pic related was like that. It was just chilling in one spot close to shore and whenever I would run past it, it wouls chase it and give up but never actually get the lure in its mouth. Gave it one fast retrieve and it hit the spinner really hard.
