Any water source I have is harder than Satan's fiery red cock. I want to do aquaponics but pic related. I'm not buying gallons of water at the store. I bought a 6 stage RO/DI water filter kit but I want to scale up quickly and build a greenhouse. That little bastard is made for a few glasses of water a day not treating thousands of gallons. I'm told that citric acid can help lower the pH but only so far. My experiments have rendered this option kinda pointless and it would be expensive as fuck anyway.
Wtf do I do? All I want is some fun aquariums with a metric fuckton of neon tetras and some indoor citrus plants for now but what the fuck do I do about water changes? I'm not hauling water in with buckets and shit. Rainwater collection is an option I guess if that would work?
