>>2443344>>2443419I wouldn't say that Miltec is shit, but they're not high quality. I use their poncho tarp as a rain layer and shelter on 1-2 night trips and it does fairly well as long as conditions aren't too bad.
Obviously, it's not as durable or high quality as actual surplus, but it's also not as heavy. The stitching isn't neat or pretty on the seams but it holds up. The material also isn't heavy enough to stand up to heavy rainfall, but the tarp is probably better at that than the poncho.
