>>2597694>>2597695Daddy's money? Rich? I wish. I grew up so poor my mom would add water to Campbell's chicken soup. My dad was a drunk and I probably saw him a dozen times after the divorce, when I was five. Quintessential latchkey kid. If you would read instead of seething, you'd see I mentioned I took out a mortgage. I think I put down $10k, and the monthly payments are about $500 a month which is doable for most people.
I get that your parents failed you, but the only thing keeping you where you are is you. If you can't bring yourself to do things legally without being triggered, by all means run off into a national park and bang rocks together. It won't cost you anything and it's unlikely anyone will care until your corpse is found.
I'm sorry your parents failed you and now you go on the internet and lash out. I'm not here to boast or get likes. If I wanted clout I'd post somewhere else. I'm only here to share info for anyone that might be interested.
>>2597706Exactly. They just don't want to because work is hard.
>>2597707Just because the deck is stacked doesn't mean you can't win if you know the game. You have to dig deep, cheats are hard to find. Yes most lenders will fuck you with a short term variable contract, and I almost gave up because of that. I was determined tho and I talked to people who buy raw land regularly, aka farmers. I was referred to Compeer, and they will do 30 year fixed mortgages on land. I think they are only in WI, MI, and MN tho. Also as I noted you need to read the regs, as a lot of it has loopholes you can abuse. The house built on a trailer is a huge loophole and very popular. Ain't shit they can do about it because technically it's a DOT problem not a zoning one. If you're never going to move it, you don't have to worry about wide load status or height restrictions either. The other popular one are the cabins you buy that are brought in on a roll off trailer. Again a mobile structure that by it's nature isn't permanent.
