There are big fish in this lake and I know it but they are taunting me. I've tried nearly everything I can think of and I've only succeeding in catching 1 tilapia. I've tried, nightcrawlers, bread, corn, cranks, swim jigs, inline spinners, poppers, frogs, and crappie nibbles. Only 1 tilapia. There are minnows or little bluegills swarming at the bank and I can see decent size strikes further out on thr surface but they want nothing to do with me. Whats your go to, surefire, irresistible bait friends. I need to catch more here. Its been my struggle all summer. The tilapia I caught was on a crank, think he just attacked it out of frustration. Almost caught a hawk yesterday when he swept down from a branch and threw my popper back onto the shore. I need to catch a decent fish. I have been freshwater fishing all summer/fall and I've only caught tilapia and softshell turtle. Central fl for reference. I will literally jump for joy if I catch a bass.
