All the reviews I could find for them were positive, they also seemed a bit more rugged and stiffer, then my first choice. I have been testing them for the last two days while walking my dog in the forest and they are great. It feels like I wearing a have a pair of heavy platform sneakers, they are very comfortable and support my ankle quite well. I'm a bit worried that I should have went up just half a size, not a full size like I did, since I have to pull the laces really tight for a snug fit. I might be able to fix that with just a pair of thick hiking socks, but maybe the little extra space might be a good thing for longer walks, when my feet really swell up. I hope to get out for a hike in the weekend, so I will report back after a more proper test, but so far they really seem like a very good pair of boots
