Will survive whatever you put it through, all weather conditions, guaranteed to work down to -20C, no diminishing returns on lumen as battery go down and the turn-knob is great when you're using gloves or mittens in cold weather.
you give up some lumen when going ruggedized, so its not several hundred lumens like a lot of other headlamps.
but it's a great, solid and realiable headlamp.
