>>2719762Rarely, most of leaders are fairly short and heavy cause I do a lot of streamer stuff, and the rare times I do bobber fish I usually run fairly heavy tippett. I mean I've cut off a #2 streamer and tied a #14 nymph on to that same 12 pound leader and caught fish. I've also gotten to a point where I wont fish below certain line strengths on certain rods. I'm throwing a 14 pound leader my 7 weight is great cause I can bulldog a fish with it, but if I'm going to be hsing a 4 pound leader I wont get any more fish fighting power out of my 7 weight than I would out of my 4 because both rods are perfectly capable of breaking that 4 pound line, and my 4 weight line balances better with 20 pound butt sections, where my 8 weight likes a 25 pound butt section.
