>>2405217Yeah, I'm still very slow compared to other people but I have much more endurance than before. Don't expect to hike a lot of miles without being sore for days but you can start small and slowly work your way up.
The outdoors IS for exercise and really everyone should have access to it where possible.
the most I've ever hiked in a day is 10 mi and that was grueling and took all day (but it was descending into and out of a ~800ft river gorge as a loop on trails that hadn't been maintained much)
