I need some sun shelter for a beach holiday with a toddler, and I'm thinking either tarp or beach tent + tarp.
But before I buy some crap like pic related, I figured I might as well get some "real" tarp that I can also use for /out/ purposes. Already got a nice, light 2.5 Person tent, but thanks to the kid, I might have to do longer trips solo, so going UL-ish could be relevant, hence tarp.
But I know fuckall about tarps. Most stuff I can readily get at (european) stores is about 500g for a 3x3m square, from 50€ to 200€. Most is PU coated. Is that better for tarps, since it stretches less than SI?
Or should I get one of those wings designs, which are apparently much more "advanced"?
Are there any good, reasonably priced total UL options I should be looking into, available in Europe?
